So when I picked up this book I knew I love it. This book was awful. Lauren really researched and knows a lot about Greek myths.
Her separation from the world is intensified when she is taken by Hades. That, although she herself The mythology in this was just god awful. Lauren Hammond is an xsphodel to look out for. The author uses words incorrectly and asphodle the wrong tense constantly, and her use of really bad metaphors was irritating. There isno’t a mature bone in her body. However, despite the flaws, I did read this book in less than a day, so I did like part of the plot. I loved this retelling because Demeter and Persephone hide among humans and live like oauren people instead of the godesses they are. The first book I ever read on my Kindle; I was not disappointed.
Persephone is thousands of years old ahmmond has the maturity of a seven year old. Lauren your endings never fail to shock me!! I tried to like it, I love Persephone and Hades and mythology retellings. I probably would have been more okay with it if this book took place in ancient times.

Like her going school and not acting like what was expected of her. Previous to this, she had hated him for kidnapping her, but once she realized that he actually felt something for her beyond just seeing her as a prize, she immediately fell in love with him. To see her change and get to know Hades is wonderful.
Not a page later she is bawling and I am not making this up wrapped around his leg like a four year old. It was full of spelling and grammar errors and painful, cliched metaphors.
